 Pigeon Fanciers 20 Aug 2012 20:43  # 1
Went up to Pigeon Rock in the Mournes on Saturday with Mags, Jane, Cearbhall and Herbert (5 in a car makes it more economical in these days of high fuel prices). Heavy rain overnight had left the gully wall very wet but as it faces south and the sun was out early, as promised, the rock dried off as we climbed and we had a very pleasant and successful day. Plenty of good meaty jugs and solid gear placements gifted us a stress free day's climbing. Most enjoyable. We shared the crag with half-a-dozen local climbers, all making hay while the sun shone.

Hi,

I checked out some of the climbs at Pigeon Rock. Looks like a great spot for climbing. Keep me posted Gerry the next time you head up to the Mournes. Any photos?

Rgds Ray.
