Absolutely right! It's a big event in the bouldering calendar and it would be great to have some IMC people there. (I'm a rubbish boulderer so I won't insult them with my presence).

Just a reminder for those who want to loose a bit if skin before the hard climbing season begins.

Beanies are the essential piece of kit seemingly

Ah, me. It seems like only yesterday that Terry and myself could go up to Fair Head and spend three days climbing like the clappers, each route being harder than the previous one and, on the third day, I would have to drag him, kicking and screaming, away from the rock. A horse of a man.
But now, a short session with the pebble-dashers and he is totally banjaxed, and ready for the bed. Where did it all go wrong? Are you not taking your porridge these mornings, Terry? Would you like to borrow one of my magic string vests?
Meanwhile, today, the die-hards (the retired and the dispossessed) were out on the rock again, availing of a short window of opportunity, in what may be a damp week. Herbert and Willie opted for Lover's Leap, while I met up with Martina and Jane in the Glendalough carpark at 8.30am. Then they each took an elbow and rushed me along the track (to the crag, not the screes). Maybe this is what you need Terry - two feisty women - perhaps not as efficacious as the string vest, but for a handsome young buck like yourself, there may be the possibility of fringe benefits.
We did that classical combo of Spillikin, Fanfare/Scimitar, all on dry rock and all three had topped out before the rain came. A great day.
